Stalls

We are delighted to so far announce some familiar and new faces for our 4th instalment of the Newcastle Ewan Brown Anarchist Bookfair in 2025. We will bring you groups from around the region and further afield to offer a unique selection of groups fighting for a wide array of causes.

As ever these are subject to change as the big day draws near and more will pop up closer to the time too.

Workshops

The theme for this year's bookfair will be 'Creative Flow' writing, speaking, using your mind and your hands to change the world around you.

Workshops still to be confirmed so check back nearer the time.

Prisoner Letter Writing

Staying in touch with political prisoners matters—they’ve risked their freedom for the struggles we all share. A letter, a postcard, a message reminds them they’re not forgotten. They're inside for standing up; we must stand with them. Be present, be vocal, be out here for those locked inside.

Wobbly Times (IWW)

In these troubled times, workers’ voices are missing from mainstream media. The IWW’s Wobbly Times offers a new platform to change that. Join our Writing Workshops—no experience needed, just curiosity and a desire to speak out. Help us educate, agitate, and organise.

Food & Solidarity

Food and Solidarity is a democratic group improving life in local communities through access to food and grassroots action. Based in Newcastle’s Inner West End, it’s growing citywide. Join us to build stronger, more connected neighbourhoods and take direct action on the issues that matter.

Palestine Action

Introduction to who and what Palestine Action (Pal Action) is and the theory behind direct action. With discussions around Pal Action political prisoners in the UK and how you can get involved with things like training days, support and fundraising.

Trans & Non-Binary Space

A welcoming space to discuss the current state of transphobia—share experiences, ongoing or planned projects, make connections, or just have a well-deserved whinge. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation, but if you’re cis, please be mindful of the space you occupy and listen with respect and care.
